 an emotional work in progress. getting my grief out in art form is healing for me; it gives my emotions a safe place to land.

 My first art class.  we crammed so much in 3 hours.  this was the final piece of of the day; my charcoal drawing.  getting out of my comfort zone to draw bigger and take more risks.  art is beautiful, especially when its not perfect.

Art class week 3

todays class.  we had to make something special plus something that meant something to us.  i made the black and blue heart ripped apart to show the small heart inside.  i also included one of craig`s lighters.  im blown away at cool the lighter looks.  i still need to work on the shadows and lighting but  i am so very impressed with mysef and kuddos for not giving up on something that can be intimidating.     i also learned how to measure the canvas so you pick a point that is not the center.  apparently putting things right in the center is a boring way to draw/paint.  again another awesome thing to learn as i progress down this path.
